Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using TradieDex. By creating an account, joining our waitlist or using our platform you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
1. About TradieDex
TradieDex is an Australian online platform that connects verified Australian tradies with customers seeking trade services. We operate at tradiedex.com.au. TradieDex operates as a marketplace — we facilitate connections between tradies and customers but are not a party to any contract for trade services entered into between them.
These Terms of Service govern your use of the TradieDex platform including our website, dashboard, and all related services. By using TradieDex you agree to these terms in full.
2. Waitlist
By joining the TradieDex waitlist you provide your email address and expressly consent to receiving email updates from TradieDex about our platform launch, features and relevant offers. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send you or by emailing privacy@tradiedex.com.au.
Joining the waitlist does not create an account, does not guarantee access to the platform, and does not constitute a contract for services. We will contact you when the platform is ready to accept new users.
3. Eligibility
To use TradieDex you must:
- ·Be at least 18 years of age
- ·Be legally permitted to work or engage trade services in Australia
- ·Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
- ·Not have been previously suspended or banned from TradieDex
If you are registering as a tradie you must hold all licences, registrations and insurances required by law to perform the trade services you advertise on the platform.
4. Subscriptions and payments
4.1 Free trial
All new tradie accounts receive one month free on their chosen plan. No credit card is required to join the waitlist. A payment method is required when your free trial ends if you wish to continue using the platform.
4.2 Subscription plans
TradieDex offers three tradie subscription plans — New Tradie, Starter and Pro. Subscription fees are charged monthly in advance. All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. Customers can always use TradieDex for free.
4.3 Payment processing
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By subscribing you agree to Stripe's terms of service. TradieDex does not store your credit card details. You authorise TradieDex to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.
4.4 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing section of your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for the unused portion of a billing period except where required by Australian Consumer Law.
4.5 Price changes
TradieDex may change subscription prices with 30 days notice. Your continued use of the platform after a price change takes effect constitutes your agreement to the new price.
4.6 Payments between tradies and customers
TradieDex does not process, hold or facilitate payments between tradies and their customers. All payments for trade services are made directly between the tradie and customer through their own payment methods. TradieDex has no involvement in these transactions and accepts no liability for disputes about payment for trade work.
5. Tradie accounts
5.1 Licence verification
When you add your trades licence number to your profile you authorise TradieDex to verify it against official Australian state and territory government registers. You warrant that all licence information you provide is accurate and current. You must notify us immediately if your licence status changes.
5.2 ABN verification
When you provide your ABN TradieDex verifies it against the Australian Business Register. You warrant that your ABN is current and registered to you or your business.
5.3 Insurance requirements
You are required to maintain current and adequate public liability insurance at all times while listed on the TradieDex marketplace. TradieDex does not extend insurance coverage to tradies or customers. You are solely responsible for ensuring your insurance covers all services you provide.
5.4 Trust Score assessment
The TradieDex Trust Score assessment is a general guidance tool covering your licencing, insurance, professionalism and data practices. Completing the assessment and achieving a Trust Score does not guarantee legal compliance with any specific regulation or standard. The results are guidance only and should not be relied upon as legal or professional advice.
5.5 Accuracy of information
You are responsible for ensuring all information on your profile is accurate, current and not misleading. You must not misrepresent your qualifications, experience, licences or insurance status. Providing false information is grounds for immediate account termination.
5.6 Marketplace listing
A marketplace listing is available to tradies on paid subscription plans. TradieDex reserves the right to remove or suspend any listing that violates these terms, contains inaccurate information, or is otherwise inappropriate.
6. Customer accounts
6.1 Contacting tradies
When you submit a quote request or job posting through TradieDex you authorise us to share your contact details with the tradies you have selected. You must not submit false or misleading job requests.
6.2 Independent verification
While TradieDex verifies tradie licences against government registers, this verification is provided as a convenience only. We strongly recommend you independently verify any tradie's credentials before engaging their services, particularly for high-value or complex work.
6.3 TradieDex is not a party to trade contracts
Any contract for trade services is made directly between you and the tradie. TradieDex is not responsible for the quality, safety or legality of any trade services provided. Disputes about trade work must be resolved directly between you and the tradie.
7. Reviews
Reviews on TradieDex must be genuine, accurate and based on real experiences. You must not post false, misleading or defamatory reviews. You must not post reviews about competitors, offer incentives for positive reviews, or post reviews about yourself.
TradieDex reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these terms. We do not edit reviews. All reviews are published as submitted subject to our content guidelines.
8. Prohibited conduct
You must not use TradieDex to:
- ·Provide false or misleading information about yourself or your services
- ·Infringe any intellectual property rights
- ·Transmit spam, malware or other harmful content
- ·Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform
- ·Scrape, copy or reproduce platform content without permission
- ·Engage in conduct that is unlawful, harassing, discriminatory or harmful
- ·Circumvent any security or access controls
- ·Post contact details in profile fields to direct customers away from the platform
9. Intellectual property
The TradieDex platform, including its design, code, content, trademarks and logo, is owned by TradieDex and protected by Australian and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify or distribute any part of the platform without our prior written consent.
By posting content on TradieDex including profile information, photos and reviews, you grant TradieDex a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display and distribute that content on the platform and in our marketing materials.
10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
10.1 Platform provided as is
TradieDex is provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.
10.2 No guarantee of trade services
TradieDex does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality or outcome of any trade services arranged through the platform. We are a marketplace only. We are not responsible for any loss, damage, injury or death arising from trade services provided by tradies listed on the platform.
10.3 Verification disclaimer
While we verify licence and ABN information against government registers, this information may not always be current or accurate. Verification status can change between checks. TradieDex accepts no liability for any loss arising from reliance on verification information displayed on the platform.
10.4 Trust Score disclaimer
The TradieDex Trust Score is a general guidance tool only. It does not constitute legal, technical or professional advice and does not guarantee compliance with any law, regulation or standard. You should seek independent professional advice for your specific circumstances.
10.5 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, TradieDex's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid to TradieDex in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, special or incidental loss or damage.
11. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any guarantees, warranties, rights or remedies that you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or any other applicable law that cannot be limited or excluded.
12. Account termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting tradiedex@gmail.com. TradieDex may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these terms, provide false information, or engage in prohibited conduct.
Upon termination your profile will be removed from the marketplace. We will retain your data for 30 days to allow export, after which it will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
13. Dispute resolution
If you have a complaint about the platform please contact us at tradiedex@gmail.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 business days and aim to resolve it within 14 business days.
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any dispute arising from these terms that cannot be resolved by agreement will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
